  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 32 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 12 oz. carton creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 9 pieces lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 12 oz. sliced Mozzarella cheese or 3 c. shredded
  • 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown hamburger; stir in sauce, water, basil and oregano. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.

    Combine cottage cheese and egg.

    In an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan, layer 1/3 noodles, 1/3 sauce, 1/3 cottage cheese mixture, 1/3 Mozzarella cheese.

    Repeat; end with Mozzarella on top.

    Sprinkle with Parmesan.

    Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Remove foil and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

    Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
