- 4 large onions
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3/4 cup besan (chick pea flour)
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp. bicarbonate of soda
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- vegetable oil for shallow frying

Add the onion and garlic.","2":"3. Heat oil, about 2 cm deep, in a wide flat pan. Add tablespoonfuls of the batter and press into patties. Fry on both side until golden brown and cooked through.
