  • 4 large onions
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup besan (chick pea flour)
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp. bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • vegetable oil for shallow frying
