- 14 cup butter
- 3 large onions
- 3 (10 ounce) cans beef consomme
- 12 cup red wine
- 1 cup swiss cheese or 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup crouton
Directions

1Melt butter and saute onions until clear.

2Add consomme' and wine.

3Pour into over safe individual bowls, sprinkle with cheese and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.

4Brown cheese by broiling.

5Add croutons before serving.
