  • 1 lb. peeled and sliced onions
  • 2 oz. butter
  • 1 tsp. turbino sugar
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • 2 to 3 pt. beef stock

Directions

    Melt the butter.

    Add the onions and cook for 20 to 30 minutes over a low heat, stirring occasionally.

    Stir in the sugar and flour.

    Cook another minute or two.

    Add the stock gradually, season to taste and simmer for 15 minutes.
