- 4 large onions, sliced thin
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 qt. beef broth (canned is okay)
- toasted French bread, sliced
- Swiss or Provolone cheese slices
Directions

1Cook onions in melted butter until tender.

2(Cook slowly, you don't want them to burn.)

3Add flour and blend well.

4Add beef broth.

5(If using canned broth or bouillon cubes, do not add salt.)
