- 4 medium onions, sliced thin
- 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 qt. chicken broth
- 2 c. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 2 c. egg noodles
- 1/4 lb. grated Swiss cheese
Directions

1Brown onions in melted butter until golden brown.

2Add broth and water, salt and pepper.

3Bring to boil 10 minutes.

4Add egg noodles; cook 30 minutes.

5Add grated Swiss cheese and let stand until cheese melts.
