- 1 qt. beef bouillon stock (4 c.)
- 3 c. thin sliced yellow onions
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 c. dry vermouth or cognac
Directions

1Pour stock and heat in covered pot.

2Cook onions slowly in skillet in butter until transparent.

3Cool 15 minutes.

4Add salt, sugar, flour and vermouth in pan.

5When mixed well, add to stock. Simmer in pot 1 hour.
