- 2 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. margarine, melted
- 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. self-rising corn meal
- 1/4 tsp. dried dill weed
- 1 (8 3/4 oz.) can creamed corn
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- dash of hot sauce
Directions

1Saute onion in butter.

2Remove from heat.

3Add sour cream and 1/2 cup shredded cheese; set aside.

4Combine corn meal, sugar and dill weed.

5Stir and set aside.

6Combine eggs, milk, corn, oil and hot sauce all at once to corn meal.

7Pour into lightly greased 8-inch square pan.

8Spread onion mix over top.

9Sprinkle with remaining cheese.

10Bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes.
