Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

Directions

    Combine sugar, cream, milk, corn syrup and salt in a 4-quart saucepan.

    Mix well.

    Bring to a boil on medium heat.

    Place thermometer in mixture and cook to 236° (soft ball stage).

    Remove from heat; cool to 110° (lukewarm), without stirring.

    Add vanilla and beat until mixture loses its gloss.

    Add nuts.
