- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. liquid (half milk and half fresh orange juice)
- zest of 1 orange
Directions

1Stir dry ingredients together.

2Cut in shortening; mix in zest.

3Pour liquid all at one time.

4Mix lightly enough to bind ingredients together.

5Roll on lightly floured board to 3/4-inch thick.

6Cut with 2-inch biscuit cutter.

7Bake at 450° for 20 minutes until golden brown.
