  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange gelatin
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 c. cooking oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. orange extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/4 c. confectioners sugar
  • 3/4 c. orange juice

Directions

    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. In a large bowl, combine cake mix and the cooking oil. Add eggs, one at a time, then the orange extract. Beat well. Add the pinch of salt and the dissolved gelatin. Beat 3 minutes. Turn into a greased and floured 10-inch angel food cake pan or Bundt pan. Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 minutes.
