  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 5 unbeaten egg yolks
  • 2 Tbsp. grated orange rind
  • juice of 2 oranges
  • juice of 1 lemon and water to make 3/4 c.
  • egg whites
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

    Beat egg whites and cream of tartar together.

    Mix together other ingredients.

    Fold in egg whites. Bake at 350° until tests done.
