Orange Chocolate Freeze

  • 8 oz. Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tub (1 L) thawed Cool Whip Whipped Topping
  • 1 package (200 g) chocolate wafer cookies
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur or orange juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • fresh orange sections or mandarin oranges

    MICROWAVE chocolate with milk in a large microwaveable bowl on HIGH for 2 minutes, stirring halfway through heating time.

    Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

    Cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally.

    FOLD whipped topping into chocolate mixture.

    SPREAD one-quarter of the mousse onto bottom of a 9 inch (23 cm) springform pan.

    Combine liqueur and water in small bowl, dip 15 wafers into mixture for 5 seconds each.

    Cover mousse layer with a 1/3 of the wafers.

    Repeat layers 2 times more ending with mousse layer.

    Cover and freeze.

    LET stand 30 minutes at room temperature before serving.

    Garnish with drizzled chocolate and chocolate dipped orange sections, if desired.
