- 2 sticks butter
- 3 c. sugar, sifted
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3 c. flour, sifted
- grated rind of 1 orange
- 3/4 c. sour cream
- 1/4 c. orange juice
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.

2Add egg yolks, one at a time.

3Add orange rind.

4Add baking soda to flour and sift together.

5Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream and orange juice to creamed mixture.

6Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in.

7Pour batter in a large pan that has been floured.

8Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours, or until done.

9Let stand 15 minutes before removing.
