  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 c. plain White Lily flour
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 small bottle orange extract

    Cream butter, shortening and sugar.

    Add one egg at a time and beat well.

    Stir in a little flour and then milk mixture alternately until all the flour and milk is used.

    Add the flavoring.

    Pour in a large tube pan which has been greased and floured.

    Put in a cold oven; set oven at 300° and bake 1 1/2 hours.

    Cool and spread icing.
