- 3 cups flour
- 1/4 cup solid shortening
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp grated orange rind
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pkg active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water (105~)
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup cold milk
Directions

1Combine flour, shortening, sugar, orange rind, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.

2Dissolve yeast in warm water.

3Add egg and stir. Add mixture to flour and stir well.

4Add milk.

5Stir to combine.

6On floured surface, knead dough, shape into a large ball and place in a greased bowl.

7Let rise in warm place free from drafts for about 1 hour or until double in bulk.

8Punch down and divide into 36 equal pieces.

9Form into balls.

10Grease muffin pan.

11Place 3 balls into each muffin.

12Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.

13Preheat oven to 375°.

14Bake rolls 15 - 20 minutes or until done.

15Remove immediately from pan and place on wire rack to cool slightly.
