  • 3 1/2 c. flour (plain)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 lb. orange slices candy, cut up
  • 8 oz. pkg. dates, chopped
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. Angel Flake coconut
  • 2 c. nuts

Directions

    Sift flour and salt together.

    Mix chopped candy, dates and nuts with 1/2 cup flour.

    Cream butter, sugar and eggs.

    Mix soda in buttermilk and mix all together.

    Turn into greased, floured tube pan.

    Bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes at 300°.
