  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. sugar (creamed)
  • 3 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 lb. orange slice candy, chopped fine
  • 1 can coconut
  • 1/2 lb. chopped dates
  • 2 c. nuts
  • 1 tsp. grated orange peel

Directions

    Mix to a smooth batter the margarine, eggs, soda, sugar, flour and buttermilk.

    Then add orange slice candy, coconut, chopped dates, nuts and grated orange peel.

    Bake in tube pan for 2 hours at 250°.
