Oregon Hazelnut Appetizer

  • 10 slices bacon, sliced
  • 3/4 cup chopped Oregon hazelnuts
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp. snipped parsley
  • 1 tsp. grated onion
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper
  • 12 slices thin wheat bread

Directions

    Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble.

    Blend with Oregon hazelnuts and all remaining ingredients except bread.

    Remove crusts from bread; cut bread into quarters and spread mixture on top of squares.

    Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350F for 10 minutes.

    Serve hot.
