Oriental Beef(Serves 10)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 or 2 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. chopped pimentos
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 8 oz. flat noodles, cooked in salted water
  • 1 pkg. slivered almonds

    Brown onion and beef.

    Pour off fat.

    Add soup, soy sauce and water.

    Cook slowly about 10 minutes. Add green pepper, celery, pimentos and chestnuts.

    Cook until vegetables are still crunchy.

    Add sour cream, mushrooms and noodles and put in a buttered 3-quart casserole.

    Sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
