- 1 lb. round steak, cut in thin strips
- cooking oil
- 1 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 c. carrots, sliced
- 1 c. celery, sliced
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Cut meat into strips; brown in oil.

2Add water, soy sauce and garlic.

3Cook and simmer for 45 minutes.

4Add vegetables.

5Cover and continue cooking 20 minutes.

6Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup water.

7Add gradually to the meat mixture, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.

8Stir in Parmesan cheese.

9Serve over rice.
