- 1 small red bell pepper
- 13 cup sliced ginger
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 3 dried shiitake mushrooms
- 4 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 star anise
- 2 teaspoons five-spice powder
- 1 12 teaspoons szechuan peppercorns, toasted
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Combine all ingredients except salt and pepper in slow cooker.
