Ingredients

  • 6 or 7 c. unsifted flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. scalded milk
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. warm water (110~)

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Scald milk and add butter, sugar and salt.

    Mix well and let it cool to lukewarm.

    Add 1 cup flour and beat well.

    Mix in eggs and yeast.

    Beat well. Gradually add enough flour to make a soft dough, beating well. Cover and let it rise in a warm place until double in size.

    Push it down and with lightly greased hands, shape into rolls.

    Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.

    Cover and let them rise until double in size.

    Bake in hot oven at 400° until brown, about 12 to 15 minutes.
