Ingredients
- 1 lb. pecan halves
- 1/2 lb. California walnuts
- 3/4 lb. candied cherries
- 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
- 1 pkg. chopped dates
- 1/2 c. chopped prunes
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 oz. lemon extract
- 2 c. plain flour, sifted
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Mix fruit and 1 cup of flour, then set aside.

2Beat margarine, then add sugar and beat well.

3Add eggs and lemon extract. Gradually add sifted flour and baking powder.

4Add floured fruit to egg mixture and put into greased and floured tube pan.

5Cover with foil and bake at 300° for 2 1/2 hours.

6Put a pan of water in the oven while cake bakes.

7Uncover for last 5 minutes to brown.

8Let cake cool slightly before removing from pan.
