Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. syrup (light or dark)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 5 to 6 qt. popped popcorn
  • 1 c. salted nuts

Directions

    Mix the first 4 ingredients; boil for 5 minutes.

    Add baking soda; pour over the popcorn and salted peanuts in large roasting pan.

    Bake in a 250° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread out on a cookie sheet to cool.

    Store in airtight container.
