  • 6 qt. popped, unsalted corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • nut meats (if desired)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla (if desired)
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Boil brown sugar, syrup, salt and butter for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

    Add soda and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

    Pour mixture over warmed popcorn and stir well.

    Spread in pan.

    Place in 200° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

    Let cool.
