Oven Rice Pilaf

- 2 1/4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. instant chicken bouillon granules
- 1 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
- 1 c. long grain rice
- 1 c. shredded carrots
- 1/4 c. sliced green onion
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2In a 1 1/2-quart casserole, stir together water, butter or margarine, bouillon granules and thyme. Microwave on High (100% power) 3 to 4 minutes to bring to boil. Stir to dissolve bouillon granules.

3Stir in rice, carrot and onion.

4Cover tightly.

5Bake 35 minutes.

6Remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes.

7Fluff with a fork.

8Makes 6 servings.
