  • 2 lb. stew meat
  • 4 or 5 stalks celery, cut
  • 1 large onion, cut up
  • 4 or 5 carrots, chunked
  • 4 or 5 potatoes, cut in half
  • 4 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • tomato juice

Directions

    Place stew meat in bottom of casserole or 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Add vegetables.

    Mix tapioca, sugar, salt and pepper together.

    Sprinkle this mixture over vegetables.

    Pour 1 cup tomato juice (or a little more) over all.

    Cover tightly with foil. Cook 5 to 6 hours in a 325° oven.
