- 2 lb. stew meat
- 4 or 5 stalks celery, cut
- 1 large onion, cut up
- 4 or 5 carrots, chunked
- 4 or 5 potatoes, cut in half
- 4 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- tomato juice
Directions

1Place stew meat in bottom of casserole or 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

2Add vegetables.

3Mix tapioca, sugar, salt and pepper together.

4Sprinkle this mixture over vegetables.

5Pour 1 cup tomato juice (or a little more) over all.

6Cover tightly with foil. Cook 5 to 6 hours in a 325° oven.

7Serves 6.
