Ingredients

  • 2 lb. stew meat
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 large onions
  • 6 carrots
  • 3 medium potatoes, quartered
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. Argo cornstarch
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3/4 c. diced celery
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 slice bread
  • 1 can diced Ro-Tel tomatoes
  • garlic and garlic powder as desired

Directions

    Break bread into small pieces.

    Stir everything, mixing well, into a large iron pot.

    (I use a cast iron Dutch oven.)

    Cover and put on middle rack in oven at 325° for 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
