  • 1 1/2 lb. lean beef, cubed and sprinkled with garlic salt
  • 7 medium carrots, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 1/2 c. tomato juice
  • 2 c. diced potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. tapioca
  • salt to taste

Directions

    Mix all vegetables and meat and put in large casserole.

    Mix juice, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and tapioca and pour over vegetables and meat.

    Cover and bake 5 hours at 250°.

    Do not brown.

    Water may be added if needed to keep moist enough.
