  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 3 c. warm water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. lard or shortening
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 10 to 11 c. flour

Directions

    At 6:00 p.m., dissolve yeast in water.

    Add sugar, lard or shortening, salt, eggs and flour.

    Let this rise and punch down on the hour until 10:00 p.m.

    (Punch at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.) Shape at 10:00 p.m. and let rise until morning.

    Bake at 350° until done and browned (25 to 30 minutes).

    Makes 60 rolls.
