  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. scalded milk
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Sprinkle yeast onto water and stir to dissolve.

    Pour hot milk over butter and stir to melt.

    Let cool to lukewarm and add to yeast.

    Beat in eggs and then add flour, sugar and salt.

    Stir until smooth.

    Transfer to a clean bowl.

    Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
