- 1 (8 oz.) can oysters
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 22 saltine crackers
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 stick butter or margarine
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 c. chopped onions (optional)
Directions

1Open can of oysters; drain liquid into a measuring cup.

2Add enough milk to make 1 cup, then add enough milk to make 2 1/2 cups of liquid.

3Crumble 11 crackers into buttered baking dish.

4Place drained oysters on top of crackers.

5If onions are used, sprinkle on top of oysters.

6Dot with the margarine.

7Beat the eggs; add to 2 1/2 cups of liquid.

8Add salt and pepper to taste.

9Crumble the other 11 crackers over oyster mixture.

10Pour milk and egg mixture over crackers.
-
11Store in refrigerator overnight, or until the milk mixture has puffed up the crackers.

12Bake in a 350° oven until puffed up and brown.
