Ingredients
- 1-1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1-1/2 lb. ground pork
- 4 doz. oysters, ground or finely chopped
- 1/2 loaf French bread
- 1 small can mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
Directions

1Brown meat and drain off excess fat Add seasonings and cook until tender.

2Simmer for 1 hour on low heat.

3Grind oysters and mushrooms; add to meat mixture.

4Moisten bread with water; squeeze out excess water.

5Break up and stir into dressing.

6Mix well and continue to cook about 30 minutes more on very low heat.

7Season to taste with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

8(Salt in oysters will make a difference.)

9Serve hot or can be served cold on a sandwich.
