- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 c. milk, 1 c. half and half or 2 c. milk
- 1 pt. oysters and liquor
- 1/2 c. crumbled saltines
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
Directions

1Brown onion lightly in skillet.

2Add celery and heat through. Place in top of 2-quart double boiler.

3Add milk and oysters.

4Heat in double boiler 15 minutes or until oysters curl.

5Add crumbled crackers and paprika.

6Heat 5 minutes more.

7Serve with saltines. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

8May add 1/2 teaspoon savory for a nice flavor addition.
