Painted Sugar Cookies

Directions

   Cream butter and shortening.

   Gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed.

   Add eggs and vanilla beating well.

   Combine flour and salt.

   Stir into cream mixture.

   Chill for 1 hour. Mixture may be divided in half and used later.

   (Store in refrigerator.)

   Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness on lightly floured surface.

   Cut with cookie cutters.

    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Paint with Egg Yolk Paint.
