  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/2 active dry yeast package, Fermipan or Vahine
  • 4 15/16 tablespoons butter
  • 1 eggs
  • 5 5/8 tablespoons sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 3/4 cups ham
  • 7/8 pound bacon
  • 5/8 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup pitted olives
  • 1 egg yolks + brown sugar to glaze

    Mix all dough ingredients.

    Program bread machine for 15 seconds at speed 4 and then program it for 3 minutes at spike speed.

    Let rise until dough doubles in volume.

    Roll out dough with a rolling pin into a rectangle.

    Arrange slices of ham in a layer.

    Top ham layer with bacon slices.

    Sprinkle olives and raisins evenly over bacon.

    Beginning on the narrower side, roll up dough.

    Place the roll on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 1 hour.

    While still warm, brush with egg yolk and sugar.
