- 3 Tbsp. bacon fat or oil
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 5 c. peeled apples, cut in chunks or wedges
- 1/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Heat fat or oil in heavy frypan over low heat.

2Add prepared apples; sprinkle with lemon juice and sugar.

3Brown lightly, then turn once.

4If apples are not tender after second side is browned, cover and cook a few minutes longer.

5Makes 6 (1/2-cup) servings.
