- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 6 slices white toast
- 24 medium oysters, shucked
- salt
- freshly ground pepper
Directions

1Cream butter with lemon juice; spread on toast.

2Quarter each slice.

3Place an oyster on each quarter; sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.

4Place on a baking sheet and bake 5 to 6 minutes or just long enough to plump oysters.

5Makes 24 pieces.
