  • 6 chicken cutlets
  • 1 c. currant jam
  • 4 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. allspice
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Place cutlets in shallow baking dish.

    In saucepan, mix all other ingredients.

    Bring to boil, reduce and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Pour sauce over chicken and bake, uncovered, at 450° for 15 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 375° and bake for 45 minutes, or until tender.

    Baste frequently.
