  • 1/4 lb. orange peel
  • 1/4 lb. lemon peel
  • 1 lb. citron, candied
  • 2 lb. nuts
  • 2 lb. seeded raisins
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 1 lb. cherries, candied
  • 1 lb. pineapple, candied
  • 1 doz. eggs
  • 5 c. plain flour
  • 1 lb. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. cloves
  • 4 tsp. allspice
  • 1 pt. blackberry wine

Directions

    Soak nuts and fruits in wine overnight.

    Then mix.

    Pour into 1 large or 2 medium tube cake pans.

    Cook at 250°

    for 5 hours with water in oven. Makes 10 pound cake.
