Ingredients
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 3/4 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1In large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of the flour, the Parmesan cheese and yeast.

2In saucepan, heat milk, shortening, sugar and salt just until warm (115° to 120°), stirring constantly to melt shortening.

3Add to dry mixture in mixing bowl.

4Beat at low speed of electric mixer for 1/2 minute, scraping bowl constantly.

5Beat 3 minutes at high speed.

6By hand, stir in enough remaining flour to make a stiff dough.

7Shape into a ball.

8Place in lightly greased bowl, turning once to grease surface.
