Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon minced parsley
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten lightly
- 3 teaspoons melted butter
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

2In a large mixing bowl combine the flour, salt, pepper and parsley.

3Using a whisk or a mixer, add the milk in a steady stream, working quickly.

4Combine the egg with 1 teaspoon of the melted butter, and whisk this mixture into the batter.

5Rub a muffin tin well with the remaining 2 teaspoons of butter.

6Place the tin in the oven, and heat it until it is hissing hot, about 6 minutes.

7Remove from the oven, and ladle the batter into the hot muffin cups, filling each slightly over half.

8Return to the oven, and bake for 30 minutes until the popovers are puffed and golden.

9Do not open the oven during the baking, or the popovers will fall.

10Serve immediately.
