- 4 (20 oz.) cans cut or whole green beans
- 4 tsp. margarine
- 4 tsp. white flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 1 medium onion, grated
- 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, grated
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 c. cornflakes, crushed
Directions

1Cook and drain beans.

2Make white sauce by melting margarine, adding flour, salt, pepper and sugar and forming a paste.

3Stir in sour cream and grated onion.

4Add green beans to white sauce. Place half of beans in greased 2-quart casserole; layer half of Swiss and Cheddar cheese and place remaining beans on top of cheese, then layer other half of cheeses on top of beans. Sprinkle crushed cornflakes on top of cheese.

5Bake 30 minutes at 350°.

6Serves 10 to 12.
