Ingredients
- 3 c. raisins
- 5 sifters flour (7 1/2 lb. or 15 c.)
- 5 dry yeast pkg.
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. salt
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 lb. melted butter
- 1 heaping Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 1/2 qt. milk or hot water
Directions

1Yeast Mixture:

2Crumble yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar and 1/2 cup warm water.

3Sift flour in pan, crack eggs and beat.

4Put sugar in with flour and salt mixture.

5Melt butter and heat milk.

6Mix eggs with flour, salt, butter, milk and yeast mixture.

7Let raise for 3 hours, then punch down.

8Let raise again for another 2 hours, then cut it and put into pans.

9Cover once again and let raise another hour.

10Beat egg and put on top of bread.

11Press with fork to get air out.

12Bake in 350° oven for 1 hour.
