Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 14 cup of chardonel wine (St. James Winery Chardonel)
  • 12 pint heavy cream
  • 1 (1 lb) box penne pasta
  • grated parmesan cheese

Directions

    Remove the sausage casings and crumble into a large frying pan.

    Cook sausage over medium heat until browned.

    Drain any excess fat from pan.

    Add onions and saute until limp.

    Add wine and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes.

    Add cream and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes or until thickened.

    Cook pasta according to package directions.

    Drain pasta and toss into sauce.

    Sprinkle with parmesn cheese.
