- 2 large ripe tomatoes, seeded and coarsely chopped
- 4 oil packed tomatoes, drained and coarsely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
- salt and freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 lb. garganelle or penne rigate or mostaccioli
- 1 c. fresh basil leaves
Directions

1Combine fresh and sun dried tomatoes, garlic, oil, salt and pepper.

2Marinate at room temperature for 45 minutes.

3Coarsely chop basil and add to hot pasta.

4Add tomato sauce.

5Serve immediately.
