- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. ditalini pasta
- 1 or 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. tomatoes, sieved (or canned crushed)
- 1/8 tsp. oregano
- 2 (16 oz.) cans peas, undrained
- salt and pepper to taste
- grated Parmesan cheese or Romano cheese
Directions

1Heat oil in a large saucepan.

2Add onion and cook slowly until lightly browned.

3Add tomatoes, oregano, salt and pepper; simmer about 10 minutes.

4Add peas together with another 1 1/2 cans of water; simmer about 5 minutes.

5Toss this mixture with cooked pasta.

6Serve topped with grated cheese.
