  • pinch of salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 lb. sausage (small patties)
  • 1/2 lb. hamburger (small patties)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 to 6 carrots, sliced
  • 1 turnip or rutabaga, sliced
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • butter
  • 4 frozen pie crusts can be used (optional)

    Mix together flour, salt

    add milk by teaspoon.

    Mix together until mixture forms a ball.

    Roll into balls

    Wrap dough around each, pinch corners and bake at 350° for 45 minutes to one hour.
