Patchwork Casserole

Directions

   Brown meat; drain.

   Add green pepper and onion.

   Cook until tender.

   Add remaining ingredients except cheese.

   Spoon 1/2 the mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

   Cover with half of cheese.

   Top with remaining meat and potato mixture.

   Cover with aluminum foil.

   Bake in preheated oven at 350° for 45 minutes. Uncover.

    Cut remaining cheese in decorative shapes.

    Arrange in patchwork design on casserole.

    Let stand for 5 minutes or until cheese shapes have melted.
